The first time I met Jane
Rose and I first
met Jane at a crowded Eco-building exhibition in Exeter. After lots of
phone calls we managed to connect and find each other. We met and
talked for a long time over tea and cake (we all know how Jane liked
cake!) and Jane told us how she and Peter had discussed Cohousing and a
more collective, sustainable way of living. She was so pleased to have
found Bridport Cohousing and so excited at the prospect of turning this
dream into reality.
I'm glad she was part of Bridport
Cohousing for so long, and though she never saw it become a reality she
has helped to make it happen. We held many meetings and learning days
in her sunny, comfortable front room at Upwey and I loved to look at
the beautiful thought-for-the-day book of daily meditations that was on
a special stand in her hallway. We used to eat our shared lunches in
the lovely garden,
soothing our minds by watching the stream bubbling past...
