Frangles, and the Christmas Pizza!

Created by Pam 8 years ago
I met Jane thought the Quangle choir. A few years ago we went to France to sing for a weekend with the Frangles (sort of sub-group of Quangles). Jane and Pat came as passengers in my little 2cv car. Jane sat in the front passenger seat and kept me entertained all the way from Poole to Normandy with her stories of life, adventure, opinions, etc....
We all had a lovely weekend singing and socialising together, and then did the journey back, poor Pat sick in the back seat, and Jane on full throttle in the front with more stories that made sure I stayed awake at the wheel! Bless her!

My other particular memory I have of Jane is after she organised a carol singing evening at an old folks home in Dorchester Rd, she invited us singers back to her Upwey home for pizza.
I imagined that we would be sitting in her living room with pizzas on our lap, chatting.
But we were only 6 people, and she laid the dining room table. Placemats, wine glasses; a setting for a grand meal. With a glass of red, we all tucked into our pizzas, and wonderful conversation took place around the table, for me, talking sometimes for the first time with Quangles I had never actually talked with before. It was a simple, yet delightful evening that Jane orchestrated, that demonstrated that it is not the food, but the company, that is the ingredients for a good dinner party.
Thank you Jane!
